Why Praying Parents?......

Families are under great stress today with many parents and children crumbling under the pressure. Even healthy families often show signs of fracturing given the load of temptation and deception permeating our society. And it's only getting worse.

Praying Parents

Praying Parents was founded to help ease the burden on families by proving support and encouragement in a variety of ways.

Our first goal is to increase the
quantity and quality of prayer for families in general and children in particular. If we're not in prayer have we got one is more than a slogan, its a spiritual truth. The Bible warns, "You have not because you ask not..." Yet statistics reveal ours is fast becoming an almost prayerless generation.

We recognize the importance of praying as individuals, couples and families. We also recognize scheduling quality time for personal and family devotions can present a challenge. So much so that quiet times of personal and family Bible reading and prayer is at an all time low.

A vital tenant of Christianity is that of inspiration and accountability. Scripture and synergy suggest we're better together in every aspect of our faith including prayer. From Jesus' use of the words "our" and "us" rather than "mine" and "me" in the Lord's Prayer's to Christ's promise that He would be in the midst whenever two or more gather together it's clear unity is essential to having power in prayer.

Here to Help

Praying Parents offers a growing list of resources we hope will encourage and equip you in seeking God's presence, provision and protection for your family and those of others. Some of these include:
  • Clarifying the need for regular and diligent corporate prayer on behalf of our families.
  • Inspiring parents, grandparents and siblings to pray diligently and effectively before, during and after they and their children encounter temptation.
  • Providing scriptural encouragement to parents concerned with the well being of their children.
  • Highlighting the importance of fighting the "good fight of faith" for ourselves and those we love.
  • Helping "bare one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."
  • Offering hope and healing to families with members fallen in sin.
  • Joining together to confronting the growing darkness within our communities that we might "not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good."
